Welcome to Language Link Vietnam’s Blog!

About Language Link VietnamWhat Is This Blog About?
There is an old saying: “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”

We want to teach you how to fish. Actually, we want to help you improve your English. But we don’t just want you to sit in classes listening to your teacher. We want to help you understand how to learn English, so you can learn effectively on your own.

Do You Need A Teacher?
You do not always need a teacher to help yourself learn. Even if you have a great teacher, you need to do most of the work on your own. But you are very fortunate, because the world is filled with English! In Vietnam, you can watch English TV, read English books, visit English websites, listen to English music — there’s a world of English waiting to teach you. You just need to spend the time.

This Blog Is For You!
You do not need a teacher, but sometimes a teacher can help. This is why we are writing this blog. In this blog, we will offer advice and suggestions to help you learn English. Having trouble with grammar? Need to prepare for the IELTS? Want to improve pronunciation? Let us know! Ask us questions, and we will do our best to help you.

Who Are We?
We are teachers at Language Link Vietnam, the largest English language training center in North Vietnam. Together we have a lot of experience teaching English. We also know the special needs of Vietnamese learners, so we’re in unique position to help you.

Some of us have different ideas about learning, just as we have different teaching styles. But this is fine! There usually is more than way to do things, and the more you think about your own learning, the easier it will be for you to identify what works for you.

How To Use This Site
We’ll be publishing new articles every week, on Tuesday and Friday. We’ll also occasionally publish special articles — so keep coming back! And any time you want, let us know what you need. This is what we want you to do:

  • Think about your own learning – your goals, your interests, and what YOU like to do
  • Use the world of English media to help yourself learn on your own
  • Ask us questions! Let us know what you want! – and we’ll do our best to help you

We’ll talk soon.

  1. Hello everyone,

My name is Trung. I have been studying English for about 5 years. I have been studying in Australia for about 2 years. This is the first time I joined this blog. I’m looking for the English club in language link. I did upper-intermediate course in Language Link. At that time, I joined the Culture Link. I am really want to improve my English skills. I wonder that this blog could operate as the Culture Link so that people could come and practice speaking and listening skills .

    Best regards,

    Trung

    • Hey Trung,

Thank you so much for posting on the blog. Please tell all of your friends to visit the blog and to take part, to post and to discuss. Your ideas are excellent. Please check out my recent post about meeting for coffee. I think this would be a great way for users of the blog to learn more about Language Link, as well as talking about cultural things (movies, music etc) with other learners and native speakers.

      Thanks again, Trung.

      Matt
